Scratching my salon visit this month!

Well, this month on February 5th marked my 1 year and a half being on this hair journey to waist length (growing my entire length of my shirt #20). In an older post (under my hair salon visits tab above) I told myself that twice a year I was going to the salon to have my hair straightened which would be every 6 months, for me those 2 months are February and August.

I have decide that I am not going. Those salon beauticians will mess me up with all that heat. So, instead I want to do it every year (every august). In 6 months from now there will be a salon update and that would be my 2  year length check. My goal is Full MBL (#15 on shirt) by August 2014, and Full WL  (#20) by August 2015 (giving myself a year because I will do some cutting along the way to make sure the majority of my hair is full and meets the line).

Still on this Journey, WL here I come!

    7 weeks post!

So, here I am 7 weeks post and still doing the aggressive growth challenge to BSL. I started in January at 3 weeks post and here are my roots now. Yes, it is a lot of new growth. Just to recap I have been hot oil treating my hair with almond oil, deep conditioning, taking my iron, biotin 10000mcg, women s one a day multivitamin daily, applying castor oil to my scalp and doing the inversion method one week out of a month and I am currently on my second month, and finally GHE a few nights out of the week... I hope I didn't miss anything, Oh, yes wearing my wigs for 3 weeks at a time not manipulating my hair but keeping them in these braids underneath.
I posted what number my hair was at on my legnth check shirt last week and it was at line 7 with these thick roots, so I am really curious to know what number I am truly at when I stretch my hair on relaxer day.

    My wash day!

So, I did a hot oil treatment yesterday with almond oil (I like the stuff so far) under the hooded dryer and then deep conditioned over night with the oil and  creme of nature conditioner in my hair. I shampooed it out today with the creme of nature shampoo, and applied my V05 conditioner for quick conditioning. Once done I t-shirt dried my hair, applied the apogee leave in spray in the four sections, finger detangled, then added a little Aussie moist conditioner and almond oil to detangle with my comb. When finished with that I applied castor oil to my scalp massaged it in and applied a little to my ends and twisted each section, tied with my bonnet and ready for bed.

I have been faithfully wearing my 1/2 wigs so I am on track with that. I have been keeping up with my hot oils and my deep conditioning as you can see. Now, these past few weeks I have been feeling like I have not been seeing much growth in my hair and tomorrow makes 1 year and 1/2 on this journey. I decided to take a quick peep of what I am working with since I haven't really checked and here are the pictures.

I am currently 6 weeks post with a lot of new growth, which could be from me drinking so much water, doing the inversion method, taking 10,000 mcg of biotin, my multivitamins, and my iron tablets were added to the mix not to mention a few days of the GHE was done as well. So, my hair is not stretched to the maximum which makes me happy because I may actually make it to BSL this year which is number 11 on my shirt. The picture shows I am at number 7, and that's with out relaxed roots so I am very hopeful at this point. My birthday is in April and that's how long I plan to wear my wigs.

Goal: get to # 11 on my shirt by April I would be so happy, you have no idea.

Have to add back to my regimen coconut oil. The only oil that soften my hair like no bodies business!!
