December Goals!

                        BSL Hair!!!!!

This is all I want. I have been on this journey for so long I just want this to happen.

THE PLAN: Do not wear my real hair out until December is complete!!!!!... It would mark HHJ to BSL took 2 years and 4 months. Sounds good to me.

The Clock Is Ticking

School is getting closer and closer to being over. I officially have 4 weeks left and counting. This week is my midterm and after that it will be smooth sailing from here on out, well until the final exam in December anyway.

I am so surprised at how fast everything is moving for me, but wish all this school time can just speed up a little more. I am over writing papers, over exams, and reading about things I may never encounter in life. December 17th will be the end for me, and I am planning on taking a 3 year break after all this is over... (hopefully).

Wish Me Luck!

Deep Condition Day

It is so time. I have been doing my deep conditioning in braids for 2 months now, and I finally took my hair down and applied my ORS hair mayonnaise piece by piece. It feels so good. Currently I  am 11 weeks post relaxer and my hair is manageable thanks to the GHE I have been doing every night for 2 months. It is very cold out and I am afraid my hair will be dry under my wigs so I made it my business to keep my hair moist for long periods of time (overnight) in the braids that I have been wearing under my wigs.

I see length retention in the 2 months of not combing my hair very proud of myself....

My hair care process!!

  1. Do not wash hair with shampoo
  2. Wash hair in braids using conditioner
  3. Do not use a comb to detangle hair (only fingers)
  4. GHE every night with scurl or water, and an oil
  5. Deep condition with protein 1 x ever 2 weeks ( twice a month)
  6. Wear protective style weave, crochet braids or wigs
This has been my regime for 2 months now and I see the difference. low low manipulation works for me so washing in the braids, finger detangling and not having my hair out is the best way for me to grow hair... I am learning.

Protecting my Mane

My last post was in September and since then I have been protective styling. I wore a weave for 6 weeks and than a wig for 4 weeks my hair has been in and out of braids, I have been cowashing and doing the GHE. I have not measured my hair in a while, but I can see that it has grown a lot and pretty fast.

I still have a problem drinking water and taking my vitamins, but soon I will get with the program because I am super busy and those vitamins will help with my energy level.

Update I am still not BSL and I have been on a hair journey since Aug 5th 2012 which is about 2 years 2 months... this really sucks I should have cut off my hair in the beginning and never visited the hair salon those 2 times in my journey, because the breakage I suffered was real. I don't think it makes since to take this long to make it from shoulder length to BSL clearly there is a problem... but I will keep trying to get there.

New regime will follow...
